Hi-Vis, Waterproof, Breathable Lightweight Jacket
Portwest US428, lightweight jacket that is water resistant, breathable and made from a stretchable, softshell material that makes it very comfortable to wear. The inner fabric is a laminated micro polar fleece which is designed for added warmth when the temperatures drop. The outer fabric is fully certified to ANSI/ISEA 107-2010 standard. All zippers are waterproof and multiple pockets provide ample storage.
This high visibility softshell fabric is a superior fabric in terms of durability and performance to the conventional fleece fabric. It is a 3-layer fabric made from a 94% Polyester and 6% Spandex outer layer laminated to a 100% Polyester micro polar fleece inner layer. The stretchable, durable outer layer is waterproof, windproof and breathable while the inner fleece layer adds warmth in colder temperatures.
Softshell jackets have higher levels of breathability and flexability, while still offering more water and wind repelling qualities than fleece. They are easy to layer over, making them ideal for changeable weather. The fabric construction, with the water resistant-membrane layer in the middle, results in a soft, supple and noiseless garment.
